Hello Folks
Thanks for stopping by!
I always think Friday as the best day of the week. It means that I can take ‘time out’. Friends have invited us out to celebrate our achievement in getting the Gold, Green Apple Award. Should be an interesting night.
We had the Oxford Times photographer here yesterday, taking pictures of our products and the Gold Award, have been informed that it will be in the paper next week :)
Today, I have been sending out press releases to national press contacts, might get some free advertising, might even get on the local TV and Radio.
The last time I was being interviewed on the Radio was also the day when there was a major train crash. Obviously my story was forgotten on that day.
I hope, who ever is reading this are ok? Here, in this part of the world it is raining, windy and cold, the weather looks promising for Sunday morning when ‘us old soldiers’ are on parade.

Hello Folks
Thanks for stopping by!
Did you know that during the influenza outbreak of 1918-1919, right after World War I, 25 million people died throughout the world. So how did that happened? Until recently, no one was really sure. In March of 1997, researchers at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D. C. isolated genetic material from the 1918-19 influenza virus. This was no easy task. The researchers spent nearly two years extracting just seven percent of the genetic code, but the evidence gathered has provided a great wealth of information. Even though the living virus was no longer around. It turns out that while conducting autopsies in 1918, Army doctors had preserved some specimens in formaldehyde. One of these specimens where the lungs of a young soldier who died on September 26, 1918. It appears that the genetic code of the influenza virus had passed from birds to pigs and then to humans. These are the deadliest of all viruses. Both the Asian flu (1957) and the Hong Kong flu (1968), which were not as deadly, mutated from pig viruses. The scary part is that it could and most probably will happen again and we're not prepared for it.
Unless we take a page out of history and help ourselves prevent infection from others.
Did you know that during the 16th Century Bubonic Plague, doctors walked the streets wearing huge hats with large ‘beaks’ attached to the front. Aromatic herbs were placed in the ‘beaks’ to purify the air for breathing. People also carried long open-ended canes also filled with herbs they waved the canes in front of them as they walked for extra security. Frankincense and pine scented candles and garlands of aromatic herbs were burned in European streets to cover the stench of death and help disinfect the air.
Aroma and health were linked, people thought that perfumed air was deemed not only pleasurable, but also antiseptic.
Will we be reverting to this alternative to combat against this new strain of Avian flu?
Comments please?

Hello Folks Thanks for stopping by.
I’m visiting the Houses of Parliament in London tomorrow.
I’m to be presented with the coveted ‘Green Apple Environment Award’ for our eco-friendly product the Aroma Stress Buster.
The host for the event is The Rt. Hon. Patricia Hewitt MP, Secretary State for Health, UK.
I’m really quite excited. I’ve not been to the Houses of Parliament for a while, the last time for my uncles 90th Birthday party, that was a few years ago now.
I think I’m all prepared, have made up a few of our products as special samples for the day. My boots are polished, clothes all pressed, going to go ‘looking and feeling’ the part of a successful business person. It reminds me of my days in the army, getting ready for the annual Major Generals Inspection.
I’m going to have some photos taken, so I’ll post them up this week.
If you want to see our eco-friendly product please view it on our website aromatherapy-stress-relief-com
Hope you are ok, I’ve had a good weekend, had an excellent firework display with a visit to the pub to finish.
